Shipping Policy






Destinations

Electro-Wear ships worldwide. For hard-to-reach destinations the shipping cost and transit time may be longer. If for any reason Electro-Wear is unable to ship to the client’s desired destination Electro-Wear will contact the client, before the order is confirmed, to recommend alternative shipping options. In the unlikely event that Electro-Wear is unable to ship to the client’s desired destination after the order is confirmed, and Electro-Wear is unable to contact the client, Electro-Wear may seek alternative shipping options in order to minimize delay. Shipping costs will remain the same.

Shipping Options

Electro-Wear ships using express courier services (Electro-Wear’s preferred courier is DHL), air freight and sea freight. For orders below 500kg Electro-Wear recommends shipping with DHL. For orders over 500kg Electro-Wear recommends shipping with air or sea freight, depending on the client’s time and budget constraints. (see our packing way to check weight of each products) Clients are welcome to use their own couriers or freight forwarder as required. Please note, such requirements should be clearly stated to Electro-Wear at the time of ordering. In the unlikely event that Electro-Wear can not ship using the customer’s desired shipping method, and Electro-Wear is unable to contact the client, Electro-Wear may seek an alternative shipping method which might involves differents shipping fees.

Shipping Date

Upon receipt of payment Electro-Wear will issue the client with a sales confirmation and commercial invoice. Confirmed Shipping date will be stated on the sales confirmation. Please note, shipping date is set within a tolerance of 3 days and clients with strict delivery deadlines are advised to place orders well in advance.

Shipping Transit Time

Shipping transit time refers to the time it takes to deliver goods from the actual shipping date. For goods shipped by air courier shipping transit time is usually 3-5 days. For goods shipped by air freight shipping transit time is usually 5-10 days. For goods shipped by sea freight shipping transit time is usually 320-40 days. Shipping transit time may vary considerably depending on the destination, the weather, the time of year and occasionally clearing customs.

Electro-Wear is unable to guarantee any shipping transit time and is not responsible for any delay during shipping. Electro-Wear will not refund goods if the delivery date no longer fits the client’s requirement. Clients with a strict delivery deadline are advised to place orders well in advance.

Shipment Tracking

Express couriers (including DHL) offer full end-to-end shipment tracking via their websites. Shipment tracking for air freight and sea freight is available in the form of flight numbers and vessel numbers, our shipping agent will keep customers informed in due time at every step of the shipment.

Shipping Weight Calculations

The gross shipping weight is taken as the actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is highest. Volumetric weight is the height x width x length in cm of all boxes combined then divided by 6000.

Shipping Cost Calculations

Gross/Volumetric shipping weight is used to calculate shipping costs. Electro-wear will provide the client with an estimated shipping cost at the time of ordering. Shipping costs must be paid in advance and in full before goods are shipped.

Insurance

Goods shipped using DHL are not insured by standard insurance as defined by DHL. Additional insurance may be purchased as required on customer's own requirements. For goods shipped by air or by sea insurance may be purchased.

Lost and Damaged Goods

If a shipment of goods fails to arrive or if goods are damaged during shipment we advise contacting the courier or freight forwarder immediately. We also advise contacting Electro-Wear for assistance in processing your claim. Electro-wear is not responsible for lost or damaged goods during shipment.

Failed Delivery

DHL will attempt to deliver a shipment up to three times, failing this DHL will contact the client by telephone or email. Should DHL still fail to deliver the shipment, goods may be returned to Electro-Wear at the client’s expense. Electro-Wear is not responsible for any delay incurred in failed deliveries, or where the wrong delivery address is supplied by the client.

Customs Duties and Import Requirements

Electro-Wear will, unless requested by customer, always ship at the Customer’s warehouse or any address specified by customers on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis. Electro-Wear Ltd is not responsible for the extra custom duties, fees and other local taxes imposed by the client's own country. Electro-Wear’s agent or customer’s agent will be responsible for customs clearance and it is the responsibility of the customer to provide the customs valid ID, or Company registration number or any other business or personal’s identification. We recommend that the client consults their local customs authority for all matters concerning customs duties and import requirements.
Below are the different type of delivery by mode of transportation


-Carrier: Door-To-Door Delivery, clearance effectued by Carrier.

-Airfreight: Door-To-Door, clearance made byElectro-Wear’s shipping agent or customer’s shipping agent.

-Sea Freight: Door-To-Door, clearance made byElectro-Wear’s shipping agent or customer’s shipping agent.

Note: For Sea Freight or AirFreight:

If requested by customers, or in the impossibility for Electro-Wear to organize in-country transportation: Modal will be Door-To-Port-of-Destination with clearance made by customer’s agent, and transport from Port to Customer’s address organized by Customer.
